We asked CSNTM to digitize the National Library of Greece’s entire Greek New Testament manuscript collection…This was a joint effort—a major collaboration between the National Library and CSNTM…They were professional, handled the library’s manuscripts with special care, and used state-of-the-art equipment. Altogether, they digitized more than 150,000 pages of manuscripts. The quality of their work, their attention to detail, was remarkably outstanding. In addition, they carefully examined the manuscripts before photographing them and provided over 600 pages of data. It was a joy and a privilege to work with them. They were as concerned as our own staff about the treatment of these artifacts. We are extremely happy with the results and recommend them without reservation.

The CBL chose to collaborate with CSNTM for a number of reasons. First and foremost was their experience with on-site digitisation of fragile materials throughout the world. They provided their own equipment and worked with the CBL Rights and Reproductions staff to devise, maintain and complete a demanding workflow and schedule. As the digitisers are also New Testament scholars, they provided subject matter expertise relating to the digitised materials. This resulted in the provision of notes, documentation and detailed metadata corresponding to the digitised materials that the CBL did not have the resources to prepare during the project.

The Center for the Study of New Testament Manuscripts (CSNTM) sent a team to digitally photograph several biblical Greek manuscripts housed at the Biblioteca Medicea Laurenziana. The manuscripts they photographed included papyri, majuscules, minuscules, and lectionaries. Their professionalism, the quality of their work, and their state-of-the-art equipment were excellent. They handled the Biblioteca's manuscripts as though they were their own children…It was evident that CSNTM has been photographing ancient manuscripts for a long time and that they are experts in the task. I heartily endorse them with no reservations at all.

CSNTM is to be commended for its commitment to producing high-quality images of NT manuscripts and making them as widely available as feasible. The Board of Directors includes established and respected NT scholars with demonstrated expertise in NT textual criticism and related matters. The Centre brings to its projects a high level of professional expertise in the very technical tasks of photography involved. I am impressed with what I have seen and I offer my very best wishes for the future of this important endeavor.
